B-Secure Basic Intruder-Burglar Alarms in Northern Ireland

Basic Alarms, are known as "Bells Only Systems". However, modern Burglar Alarms don't use bells but have electronic sounders; these sounders can be fitted both inside and outside a property. The aim of this type of burglar alarm is to deter opportunist thieves and intruders by providing both a visual deterrent and an audible alert should they attempt to gain access to a protected property. Basic alarms can also have additional features, such as a smoke detectors, which are usually installed in a hall or landing and also, heat sensors which are usually fitted in kitchens. Basic Alarms are insurance rated and are certified as such, when installed and commissioned by a registered company, such as B-Secure Alarms.

Basic Burglar Alarm Systems

These alarm systems rely on neighbours or passersby to notify the owner of the property. Therefore, basic alarm systems are ideal for urban and suburban areas, where there is a concentration of residents. However, they are unsustainable for isolated or rural homes and businesses.

Basic Alarms with Communication

Basic Alarms can also use personal digi-comunicators that will contact key holders only. They can be set-up to send either a SMS Text Message, or Voice Communication. This type of alarm system is not monitored by an Alarm Receiving Centre, and can't receive direct police response.
